I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decoration of the hotel. The vintage furniture and colorful carpets made me feel right at home. The general areas were well maintained and had a warm and welcoming ambiance. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The staff was always ready to assist me with my luggage and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my stay.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is a handrail in the bathroom. It would provide extra stability and support for us seniors, especially when getting in and out of the shower.

We stayed 1 night, breaking the jurney from Greek to Hungary. We visited Rilszki Manastir, 40 km from the hotel in the mountains. The staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurants are good and cheap in the city. I can suggest to the travellers.

big, spacious rooms ; good choice for a short stay (one night, transpassing bulgaria on our way to greece).
not very easy to find; broken furniture and bad breakfast.

The room had a balcony, opening to city views, which felt like having front row seats to a live play unfolding on the streets below. Each morning, as I sipped my coffee, I watched the city come alive, feeling like a privileged spectator in the comfort of my own private box.
Limited bathroom provisions.

Mi-au placut camerele curate si confortabile si personalul amabil si indatoritor. De asemenea, hotelul este situat la 5 minute de mers de centrul orasului, ceea ce mi-a facilitat accesul rapid la locurile in care doream sa merg.

I got great value for my money at Alpha Family. The room was huge, with a nice balcony and an awesome view. The location was perfect, within walking distance of the shopping district and restaurants. The staff were friendly and tried their best to communicate in English.
The hotel breakfast menu could have been more varied and interesting.

Good central location, very good price, well-known Bulgarian hospitality:)
The central heating system was not working (December 2011), but anyway the air condtioning system did its job:)

Blagoevgrad is such a cool town with so much to do. We had a blast exploring the Varosha National Revival architecture complex and checking out the local bars and restaurants. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a short walk away from all the action. It was a great spot for a group of friends like us who wanted to have a fun and exciting vacation.
The only thing we wished for was a livelier atmosphere at the hotel. It would have been amazing if there was a bar or lounge area where we could hang out with other young people and have a fun time.

We've been staying at Alpha Family for years now on our way to Greece. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the town center where you can find plenty of restaurants and bars. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they even try to speak English. The rooms are spacious and the balcony offers an amazing view. It's a great value for money and we highly recommend it for both short stays and longer vacations.
Nothing to complain about at all! 😊

Big and spacious rooms, with friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect, in a quiet area and just a short walk to the town center where you can find a variety of restaurants and bars to enjoy.
There were some downsides to our stay. The shower was not what we expected, being just a watering can installed above the toilet.

Got a good deal during Xmas and key location fact, reasonably close to the center. The room was quite spacious and had a decent balcony. One more advantage is an affordable price bracket.
The stay was not pleasant due to the unpleasant smell of cigarettes in our non-smoking room. To add to this ordeal, the noise-cancelling qualities of the room were non-existent - walking on the hallway, and doors were very audible well into the night.

Loved the charming cobblestone streets and old houses in the area. Free WiFi and parking were a bonus. Convenient location near the City Hall and universities.

I recently stayed at Alpha Family for a few nights while exploring the city. The hotel's central location was perfect for me as I wanted to be close to the city center. The spacious and comfortable room made my stay enjoyable, and I appreciated the big mirrors in both the room and bathroom. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the affordable price was a great value for what I received.
I can recommend this hotel.

Gorgeous old houses, charming streets, and nearby churches. The hotel offers free WiFi and parking, plus a bar. I especially enjoyed the continental breakfast.
Who needs a gym when you can hike up and down the narrow cobblestone streets all day? Also, my room didn't come with a personal butler, what a shame.

The room was spacious and had a big terrace, which offered a nice place to relax. The staff was friendly and provided prompt service when we needed extra towels and pillows. The location was excellent, with just a short walk to the center of town. good value for the price.
The couch in the room was old and broken, which caused an unpleasant smell in the room. the shower setup was inconvenient, with no partition and everything getting wet.
